A Daughters of Heavenly Favour Project

Pastor Neema and the DOHF ladies have started an outreach for children from the slum

Every Saturday the children gather in the church and ministry's compound where the ladies lead them in games, songs and learning about Jesus, the best friend they could have

The children also enjoy a free cup of porridge or a cool drink

In the first few weeks of launching they have seen a steady increase in the number of children attending which is very encouraging. The ladies want to reach as many as possibe to provide a weekly haven where the children feel safe, loved and can escape the hardships of slum living for a while

Many of these children are at risk of molestation. The teen pregnancy rate is very high here and mostly due to incest

BAKERY COOPERATIVE

Thanks to the generosity of Evangelist Gloria's home church, the Daughters of Heavenly Favour Kibera have had a double oven built in the compound.to produce baked goods to sell with a view to becoming financially independent 

The ladies are full of ideas for growing this micro business venture and all equally committed and working on it. 

The pictures below are of  the first production of cakes & scones and the first bar of soap produced following a lesson with Gloria. This will also be a micro business
